Starting from the physical model, basic equations are derived for the flow of the fluid, particle motion and changes in particle density along the radius. These equations enable the fluid-mechanical properties of fluidized systems to be described. The basic equations derived are applied to systems fluidized with a liquid, and equations are presented for the calculation of the inter-granular liquid flow rate, of the change in grain flow rate along the radius and the void fraction.Downloads
