Abstract

Oxidoreductase enzymes require cofactors for their operation in stoichiometric amount. Approximately half of them need NAD(P)H cofactors, which should be regenerated for the cost-efficient implementation of the enzymatic processes. In this minireview regeneration methods are presented including chemical, electrochemical, biological (enzymatic), photocatalytic techniques.
