Non-Technical Loss Diagnosis in Electrical Networks With a Radial Layout

A network-oriented non-technical loss detection and localization methodology is presented in this paper. The basic idea behind the proposed methodology is the deviation of the measured voltages from their nominal values. The operation of the algorithm was investigated by simulation experiments using an (IEEE) European Low Voltage Test Feeder benchmark network. The simulation results show that the proposed method is able to detect and localize multiple occurrences of non-technical losses caused by fraudulent meters.Downloads
