Abstract

Three new steroidal oxazolidinones were synthesized starting from 17α-ethynylestradiol, benzylic amines and CO2 using CuI as a catalyst. The ionic liquid solvent [BMIM][BF4] made it possible to recycle the catalyst ionic liquid mixture with only a slight loss of catalytic activity.
