Optimization Problems of Fermentor Aeration-Agitation System

Abstract

An increase in yield even by a few percent can be of great importance in large-scale fermentation vessels. Consequently, the optimization of agitation system is a very important factor but it is only partially provided by scale-up using pilot plant data and similarity criteria. This is the reason why we need newer methods for optimization of aerationagitation systems for large-scale fermentation vessels by agitators equipped with changeable flow modifying parts.
